Step 1 - Combine Your Ingredients

Keep the water on a low simmer for melting.

I prefer using a double boiler to melt my chocolate.

Whether you are making truffles totally from scratch by combining chocolate with butter and cream or the quick way with sweetened condensed milk, you must be careful in the preparation. I prefer to use a double-boiler whenever I'm melting chocolate.
