Oranges have always had a special place in my life. It started with growing up in Florida in the late 60's. My father was a traveling salesman and we'd travel with him whenever we could. It was a special treat getting to stop at a roadside fruit stand for one of those magnificent golden orbs. I got to drink juice directly from the orange with a Citra Sipper. Even today each time I got back to Florida, I have to get that first sip of orange juice as I cross the boarder at the Florida Welcome Center.
I hope you enjoy these recipes made with oranges.

Orange Chess Pie Photo (c) by Carroll PellegrinelliI brought this
Orange Chess Pie to a potluck luncheon. Several of the women had never even heard of a chess pie. Never the less, they all loved it. I kept hearing over and over, it was perfect because it's not too sweet. Unfortunately for my family, I was only allowed to bring home a tiny sliver. It didn't matter, because this Orange Chess Pie is so easy to make that I can make another one in no time.
