Poaching the pears in white grape juice enhances the flavor.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups white grape juice
- 1 cup sugar
- juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 6 pears, peeled and cored (leave stems on)
- 10 ounce package frozen raspberries, partially thawed
Preparation:
Combine grape juice, sugar, and lemon juice in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add pears to saucepan. Cover, reduce heat and simmer until tender. Remove and chill. Just prior to serving, puree' raspberries in blender. Serve over pears.
