I first ate this dessert in New Orleans.

Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced lengthwise
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons banana liqueur
- 3 ounces rum, light or dark
- 1-1/2 cups vanilla ice cream
Preparation:
Melt butter in skillet. Add sugar and stir until melted. Add bananas and saute' for about 3 minutes or until tender. Turning once while cooking. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Pour liqueur and rum over bananas. Stir bananas. Very carefully ignite pan. Using long-handled spoon, baste bananas with liquid until fire dies out.
Serve immediately over ice cream.
