This bread pudding is topped with a Hard Sauce made with Rum, Melt 1/2 cup butter in a small saucepan. Stir in 1 cup of sugar until it melts. Lightly beat one egg and stir a little of the butter-sugar mixture into it. Then add egg mixture to rest of butter-sugar mixture. Stir in 1 cup of rum until incorporated.
