Step One - Torn Bread and Trail Mix

This is the first step in the Bread Pudding Step by Step Photo Instructions.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a 10x13 glass pan. Tear one half of a 2 foot long French bread loaf* into 1-inch pieces. Spread in the pan. Take 1 cup firmly packed trail mix and sprinkle half over bread cubes. Tear the rest of the French bread loaf and spread over trail mix layer. Finish with the rest of the trail mix.

*Some recipes will say to remove the crust, but I prefer the extra texture in my bread puddings.
