It is everything you need in a food scale, and yet it doesn't weigh much or take-up much room.

Guide Review - Escali Pana Digital Scale

One day around noon, my husband asked if I would make something that could be taken that very evening to a family that had just experienced a loss. I decided to make Chocolate-Peanut Clusters for their sweet and salty satisfaction and because I didn't have a lot of time to make something physically. As I was putting the ingredients in the crockpot, I realized I added too many nuts. Lucky for me, they were the last ingredients I added. Knowing I had to quickly remove 8 ounces of nuts, I got out my Escali Pana Digital Scale. I turned it on. I placed a glass bowl on top of the scale. I was able to press one button to reset the scale to zero. I, then, added the exact amount of nuts I needed to remove from my crockpot. It was that simple.

Even beyond the simplicity, is the fact that I no longer need to use a recipe converter to make recipes that are written in metric measurements. This scale can convert from grams to ounces and pounds. It's also able to measure volumes like cups and tablespoons. There's a handy list of ingredient codes to use for measuring volume. If you can't find your exact ingredient, or a similar one, on the list, you can email them. They'll email back with the correct code. I also like the fact that one laminated code sheet comes with the machine. A list can also be found in the back of the instruction booklet. Plus if you lose both of them just download the list from their website.

Bonus Use:
Shh... don't tell, but I've also used this scale to weigh my outgoing mail. Yes, I admit it. I have several friends overseas, and I just love using lots of different postage stamps when I send them cards. I've also used it to weigh a small package. The maximum weight is 6 pounds.
