The Bottom Line
If you use your stand mixer as much as I do, you'll definitely want the BeaterBlade+. It was amazing to be able to see the bottom of the bowl while mixing a thick cookie dough. I didn't have to stop mixing once to scrape the bottom of the bowl. Plus, when I was done making my dough, the mixing bowl was so easy to clean. No butter or sugar was left on the bottom.
Pros
- It continuously scrapes the bowl while mixing.
- Makes cleaning the bowl a snap. With the BeaterBlade+ nothing sticks to the sides.
- It washes great in the dishwasher.
- Pink-Edged BeaterBlades+ are also available to help aid in Breast Cancer Research
Cons
- At first, the blade will squeek. If you cream your butter first, the squeeking doesn't last long.
- You need to wipe-off the remaining dough from the BeaterBlade+ before putting it in the dishwasher.
- It does cost slightly more than stand mixer company-made attachments, but it's definately worth it.

Guide Review - BeaterBlade+ by NewMetro Design LLC.
I'm in love with the BeaterBlade+. It was just amazing to watch it in action. With each turn of the blade, the bowl was scraped clean. It's the rubber edges that work like windshield wiper blades. It made the mixing time much shorter since I didn't have to keep stopping the machine to scrape down the sides and bottom of the bowl. Then, once I removed the dough from the bowl, there wasn't much left stuck to the sides. They were scraped clean in the mixing process, which made cleaning the bowl a snap. In cleaning the actual BeaterBlade+, I just ran my thumb and finger around the rubber edges to remove any remaining dough before putting it in the dishwasher. It came out of the dishwasher perfectly clean. I also love the fact that it stores with the rest of my KitchenAid stand mixer attachments inside the bowl with the plastic lid in place.
