If you like Margaritas, then you'll love this adult-only recipe for Margarita Pie.

Prep Time: 25 minutes

Cook Time: 4 hours

Extra Freezing Time: 1 hour

Total Time: 5 hours, 25 minutes

Yield: One 9-inch Pie


  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 5 ounces pretzels
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1-1/2 quarts vanilla ice cream, softened
  • 3 ounces frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • 1 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1 whole lime, juice and zest


Prepare pie early in the day or the night before. While crushing pretzels in the food processor add sugar and butter. Firmly press mixture in bottom and up sides of 9-inch pie plate. Freeze 1 hour. Mix the remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl until combined. Put filling in pie crust and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.

I made this for my husband and I because I happened to have the ingredients and love margaritas. This is the best margarita and best pie ever! Everyone who's tried it absolutely loves it. The pretzels make it perfect!
