I like to use this Maple Pecan Frosting on top of my Pumpkin Cookies.
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Yield: 3 cups frosting
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon maple flavoring*
- 1 cup chopped pecans, lightly toasted
Preparation:
Beat butter until fluffy. Gradually add in powdered sugar. Add milk and maple flavoring. Continue beating until combined. Spread Maple Pecan Frosting on cookies. Sprinkle** frosted cookies with toasted pecans.
** - You could stir the pecans into the frosting and then spread it on the cookies. I just find it easier to sprinkle them on the Pumpkin Cookies after frosting. It looks prettier, too.
