Chocolate Fudge Easter Eggs

This recipe for Chocolate Fudge Easter Eggs uses chocolate pudding mix as the base.

Prep Time: 50 minutes

Total Time: 50 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 pound (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 2-3 5/8 packages chocolate pudding mix (not instant)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 8 ounces dipping chocolate

Preparation:

Combine butter, pudding mix and milk. Bring to boiling and simmer 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add sugar and vanilla; stir until smooth. When cool enough to handle, shape into eggs and place on wax paper lined tray. Chill until firm. Melt chocolate, dip cooled eggs. Place on wax paper. Let stand until coating hardens. Makes about 2-1/2 pounds of candy.

Chocolate fudge eggs disappointment, Member justpeecheee

These lack in favor!! They don't have a GOOD chocolate taste to them and they are gummy. you would be better off making a truffle recipe and using that. I would have gave them less than aa star if that was available.
