Canned Fruit Crisp

Here's an easy dessert recipe for a canned fruit crisp which uses package instant oatmeal for the topping.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 - 15 ounce cans fruit*, drained
  • 2 packages (1.6 ounces each) cinnamon and spice (or plain) instant oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped and lightly toasted nuts
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly grease 8 or 9-inch square glass pan. Pour fruit into pan. In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over fruit. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Most canned fruits will work. You may adjust seasoning according to the type of fruit and packaged oatmeal chosen.
