Moldy Mice a.k.a. Sand Tarts

Moldy Mice a.k.a. Sand Tarts are great cookies for Halloween or a bridal shower.

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 1 tablespoon sugar
• 1-1/4 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts, toasted
• powdered sugar

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly grease cookie sheet. Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla. Mix flour and nuts. Add to butter mixture and combine completely. Roll into small bars about the size of your thumb. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and roll in powdered sugar, while cookies are still hot. Makes about 3 dozen.
