Macaroons

It takes just a few ingredients to make these cookies.

Macaroons are so simple to make.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 sup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 7 ounces (2-2/3 cups) shredded coconut
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour (or line with parchment paper) large baking sheet. In large bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt with wire whisk. With wooden spoon stir in coconut. In small bowl, stir together egg whites and extract. Pour into coconut mixture. Mix until no dry powder remains. Scoop out heaping teaspoons full of dough onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.

Makes approximately 18 cookies.
