Guide Review - A Review - The I Hate to Cook Book

This is my kind of cookbook. It brings back so many memories of growing-up and some of the food we ate. It was a time before fast food restaurants, and dinner had to be made every single night. Peg Bracken came up with some very interesting dishes that didn't take forever to put together or cook. Yet, they were tasty, too.

Although, there aren't many desserts in this cookbook, there are some good ones. Some of them are very simple. My favorite quick dessert recipe involves soaking strawberries in brandy. Before serving them, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Of course, there are recipes more involved that than one. Still, you have to admit, I bet you can't wait to try that one, too.
