Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup water or milk
- 11.5 ounce package milk chocolate chips, divided
- 1 cup chopped nuts, lightly toasted
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 9-inch square pan. With a wire whisk combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Add flour mixture alternately with water or milk. Stir in 1 cup chips and nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle remaining chips over warm cake. Let stand 5 minutes or until softened. Spread chocolate evenly over entire cake. Makes 16 pieces.
