Pastel Party Divinity is a colorful alternative to regular divinity.
Prep Time: 45 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2-1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/3 cup white corn syrup
- 3 egg whites
- pinch of salt
- 1 3-ounce box gelatin- any color-flavor
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Preparation:
Mix sugar, water and syrup in saucepan. Continue cooking without stirring until it reaches 280º. While this is cooking, beat egg whites stiff adding salt, powdered coloring gelatin and baking powder. Remove syrup from heat, pour in small stream over beaten egg whites while continuing to beat. Remove from mixer; beat by hand until firm enough to drop by spoonfuls. Makes about 70 pieces.
