Use your favorite brownie recipe or mix to make this recipe for a Brownie Torte.

- brownie batter prepared according to mix or recipe directions
- 8 ounce container cool whip or 1 cup whipped cream, whipped
- 2 teaspoons coffee-flavored liqueur or strong coffee
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- Optional: chocolate shavings, chocolate syrup, etc.
Preheat oven to temperature on brownie recipe. Grease and flour one 9x13 pan. Pour brownie batter into prepared pan. Bake brownies according to directions for recipe or mix. Try not to over cook. Cool in pan on cooling racks for 2 minutes. Remove from pan and completely cool on wire rack. Cut brownies into 2 equal pieces. Mix cream, liqueur and sugar until well combined. Frost bottom brownie layer with 1/3 cream mixture. Top with next layer and frost top layer with 1/2 cream. Frost top and then sides, if possible, with remaining cream mixture. Optional: Decorate by drizzling top with chocolate syrup and/or chocolate shavings.
