Enjoy this Blondie recipe loaded with toasted walnuts and chocolate.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 45 minutes


  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup lightly toasted walnuts
  • 3 ounces (1/2 cup) semi-sweet, dark chocolate, coarsely chopped or butterscotch chips


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease 8-inch square pan. Mix all ingredients, except nuts and chocolate, combine completely. Stir in nuts and chocolate. Spoon into prepared pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until middle is just done.

Makes 9 to 16 pieces.

For a special dessert, serve this Loaded Blondie warm with ice cream and drizzled with chocolate and/or caramel sauce.

This is a recipe I go to all of the time. It is perfect, so easy. Really great for a fast dessert.
