Cheese Scones are also known as cheese biscuits.
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound flour
- 4 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1-1/2 ounce butter
- 5 ounces milk
- 2 - 3 ounces. grated cheese
- chopped chives, cayenne & dry mustard, amounts to taste
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Rub in butter, then add milk to make a moist mixture. Turn out onto a floured board and press down to about 1" height. Cut into small rounds with cutter. Bake on lightly greased cookies sheet for approximately 10 minutes.
