| A Review of Marcel Desaulniers' Latest Cookbook | |||||||||||||||
Well, all I can say is that he's done it again. If you thought Marcel Desaulniers' "Desserts to Die For" and the "Death by Chocolate" series of cookbooks were enough to satisfy your lust for chocolate, here's one more book to add to the collection. The more time I spend reading, and trying the recipes, the more I've decided this is one of my favorites.
The best part about this cookbook is that the recipes are so interesting both in name and in composition. How many other cookbooks do you know that have recipes like "Bob's Big-Ass Chocolate Brown Sugar and Bourbon Birthday Cake" and "Mrs. D.'s "She Ain't Heavy" Chocolate Cake?" Then there are the recipes I just couldn't wait to try like "Peanut Buttery Chocolate Peanut Brittle", "Chocolate-Chunk Pineapple Rummies" and "Chocolate-Peanut Butter Birthday Fusion Brownie". I especially love Marcel's running commentary. It starts before the recipe directions begin and it continues through out the recipe. It's almost as if he's right in the kitchen with you. I know you'll love this book as much as I do. Enjoy! Sample RecipesArticles by date | Articles by topic

There's no doubt about how much Marcel loves chocolate. He
dedicated this cookbook by writing "Connie (his wife) and chocolate make every
day a celebration." He truly understands, and partakes, in the love affair
so many of us have with chocolate. He makes us take our love a step further by
giving us such wonderful ways to deepen our involvement with this decadent
treat.
