Rhubarb

I want another slice of rhubarb tart.
I want another lovely slice.
I'm not disparaging the blueberry pie.
But rhubarb tart is oh so very nice.
A rhubard what? A rhubarb tart!
A whatbarb tart? A rhubarb tart!
I want another slice of rhubarb tart!
from Monty Python

rhu barb (roo'barb), n. 1. a plant having thick, reddish leafstalks eaten in pies or as stewed fruit. 2. Slang. a quarrel or squabble. from Webster's Desk Dictionary, 1983.

The history of rhubarb began in China around 2700 BC when it was used soley for medicinal purposes. After a rather lengthy history, it wasn't until 1822 when it was sold in the Massachusetts produce markets. My history with rhubarb began with my father-in-law. His favorite pie is a Strawberry-Rhubarb.

Enjoy!
