Let's Go Shopping, Part II
Places to Purchase Your Baking Ingredients
Dateline: 03/30/99
Ah, yes, more shopping. I love it! In the first part of this series, I focused on baking equipment for sale on the Internet. This week's Part II is where to find some common and uncommon dessert ingredients.
Please note: Although, I have had good experiences with some of the companies below, I can't guarantee your shopping satisfaction. Shopping on the Internet, from a catalog or even in a store is at your own risk.
Enjoy!
The Great American Spice Company
Besides spices they have an exciting selection of flavoring oils from Almond to Wintergreen with Tutti-Fruiti in between. They also have recipes, as well.
The Low Carb Connoisseur
Here's a place to buy Almond, Pecan and Soy Flours to use with low carbohydrate diets.
Penzeys, Ltd.
This is another catalog I won't easily throw away. Besides learning everything there is to know about each spice, they have recipes, too!
Sugarcraft
This is the place for cake decorating, cookie and cake making supplies. My daughter will eat just about anything if I put sprinkles on it, and you can find a large selection here.
Watkins
There are several independent Watkins dealers on the Net. For baking purposes, they have an excellent selection of extracts and flavors such as caramel, peach or even peanut butter.
Zesto Citrus Products
"At last no more grated knuckles." Think of it, airdried orange and lemon peels. How convenient!
