Let's Go Shopping, Part I
Places to Buy Your Baking Equipment
I just love to shop. It's right up there with chocolate. Now what could be better than combining the two? This is a two part series on shopping. Part I is where to buy some of your necessary baking equipment. Purchasing special ingredients for your dessert recipes is the focus of Part II.
Please note: Although, I have had some good experiences with some of the companies below, I can't guarantee your shopping satisfaction. Shopping on the Internet, from a catalog or even in a store is at your own risk. I'm writing these features to show how much is available on the Internet not as a list of my personal recommendations. And speaking of how much, this list is just a small portion of the online stores out there. I spent hours in amazement just doing this feature.
I hope you enjoy my little shopping trip on the Net!
Chantal
They make brighly colored ceramic cookware like a deep dish pie plate.
Chef's, Chef's Catalog
I have their catalog sitting on my kitchen table right now. Check out their Super Sale!
The Chef's Store
Besides finding all types of baking equipment, there is a nice selection of chef related jewelry. I'm not sure I could get away with wearing the chef knife earrings because they look so real.
Cooking.com
I found a great selection of cake pans here. I liked their selection of dessert recipes as well.
Cuisinart
I just could not function without my Cuisinart food processor.
KitchenAid
I'm not sure how I made desserts before I got Ole Bluey. That's what I call my Cobalt Blue KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Currently they are running a contest with Appliances for a Lifetime as the prize.
Kitchen Collectables
This is a great place to get your cookie cutters.
You can even get cookie cutters designed just for you.
A Kitchen Emporium
You can find the sometimes hard to find items like Cream Horn Molds and Tart Tappers here.
P4Online.com
They have a complete selection of Wusthof-Trident Knives, which is what I use.
Williams-Sonoma Inc.
I love their store which makes me even more disappointed in this site. It's no more than a way to request a catalog.
Wilton Enterprises
You can find all of your cake decorating supplies here.
