Ingredients:
- 3 cups water
- 4 tablespoons pearl barley
- 1-1/2 pounds apples, peeled, cored and sliced (I prefer tart, it's your choice)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
