Apple-Cherry Crumble
adapted from a Michigan Apple recipe

1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1/2 C. brown sugar, firmly packed
----
1/4 C. butter
----
1/2 C. raw oats
----
6 C. sliced, peeled Michigan Apples
1/2 C. granulated sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. grated orange peel
1/2 C. dried tart cherries
1/2 C. broken pecans, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease a shallow 2-quart glass baking dish.

In small bowl, combine first 2 ingredients. With pastry blender cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats; set aside.

Combine remaining ingredients. Spread evenly in dish and sprinkle with oats mixture.

Bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown and apples are tender. Yield: 8 servings 

Serve with some decadent Royal Crown Vanilla Ice Cream or whipped cream.
