Irish Brown Cake

Ingredients
2-1/2 cups flour
1-1/2 cups raisins in 2-1/2 cups water (cook raisins to boiling , then drain, saving 1-1/2 cups water for cake)
1 cup brown sugar
2 Tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg, slightly beaten

Mix all ingredients together. Bake at 325 degrees for 1-1/4 hours in greased and floured loaf pan.
