Hearth Braid Bread
adapted from Fleischmann's Yeast Best-Ever Breads, 1993

1/2 recipe master bread dough
1 egg
1 T. water
sesame or poppy seeds

On lightly floured bread board, divide dough into three equal pieces. Roll each piece to 16-inch rope. On greased baking sheet, braid the 3 ropes together. Pinch ends to seal. Cover with lightly greased plastic wrap. Let rise in warm, draft-free place for 30 to 90 minutes. Beat egg and water; brush over braid. Sprinkle with seeds. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 25 minutes or until done. Remove from pan and let cool on wire rack.
