All-Purpose Classic Movie Sites

Andrew's Silver Screen Tributes
A collection of brief but interesting and well-written illustrated tributes to Andrew's favorite movies, actors, and actresses.

Cinema Sites
A very extensive, no-nonsense listing of selected movie-related sites. Not all of them are classic movie sites, but the site is light on graphics and therefore quite fast-loading.

Class Act: Those Golden Movie Musicals
An ambitious site by Jim Johnson (The Judy Garland Database) and Ted Nesi (Ted's Lucille Ball Page) featuring tributes to the actors, actresses, musicals, and songs of the Golden Age.

Classic Hollywood
A wide variety of information about classic movies, including articles about Rodgers and Hammerstein, Bette Davis, classic Hollywood restaurants and night spots, and celebrity addresses, among others.

The Classic Movie Cafe
Jerelyn and Calle are transplanted Hoosiers now living in Sweden. Their all-purpose classic movie site is extensive in content and sophisticated in design. Look for the Star and Movie of the Month.

Classic Movies
Photo galleries, a sound gallery, links, a chat room, and more make up this nicely-designed site (with the same name as this one).

Don't Rain On My Charade
This pictorial tribute to Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, and Gene Kelly, created by Traci Martin, also includes pages on Charade and Singin' in the Rain.

Dr. Daniel's Movie Emergency
If you can't have fun here, you have a broken funnybone. Dr. Daniel can probably set it for you.

Elizabeth Anthony's Classic Homepage Best of the Net
A very attractive site, filled with photos, information, and Elizabeth's take on some of the greatest actors, actresses, and movies of the classic era. Won our Favorite Classic Movies Web Site poll; recently moved to a new address.

Erin Michelle's Classic Movie Page
Erin Michelle (aka Matty Silver) is a talented young Web designer who loves classic movies and has created a very nice collection of tributes.

Hollywood Online
While most of the huge amount of material relates to current films, there's a lot here for classic fans, too, like the movie database and Movies on TV.

Meghan's Obscure & Classic Film Page
A student at the University of Michigan, Meghan has written quite a collection of reviews of what she believes are films that haven't received enough attention, including the Thin Man series. Also some "good 'bad'" movies and a "mystery wav" contest.

Michele's Home page
Parisian Michele Tirone's page includes a tribute to Brian Keith as well as an excellent collection of star photos and movie posters.

The Palace Best of the Net
An all-purpose resource for fans of the classic films of Hollywood's Golden Age. Lovingly done and endlessly interesting.

Phillip's Vintage Hollywood
This site no longer exists as we once knew it. Phillip has gone on to other things. However, there is still some excellent content linked to this page, including Phillip's tributes to Kate Hepburn, Lilyan Tashman, and Jinx Falkenburg, as well as a Tour of the Stars' Homes.

A Time Of Innocence Best of the Net
Devoted to the films, stories and ads of the 40s and 50s, this site includes information about several interesting films, actors and actresses of the period, with a list of more interesting ones to come.

World Cinema
A very nice assemblage of reviews of films from all over the world, including silents and classic American cinema, plus biographies of dozens of actors, actresses, and directors.
