These accurate digital timers come in four colors (black, red, white and blue), are the size of your palm and have non-skid rubber bottoms.
As soon as I saw this cake keeper it went on my Christmas list. It is the perfect cake keeper to show off that Bundt cake you made. How exciting!
Speaking of Bundt cakes - you can never have too many different Bundt cake pans.
The smell of beans being ground for coffee in the morning is almost better than making the coffee itself. These grinders also have a dual use - you can grind spices in them too!
Shh!! Please don't divulge my secret, but I have never made a Jelly Roll Cake. Yet, my Jelly Roll pan is one of my favorite baking pans. It's like a cookie sheet only it's big (18 x 13 inches). It's strong, too. It's got sides and the metal is stronger than most of my cookie sheets. It has multi uses - it's a cookie sheet, it's a bar cookie pan, it catches spill overs from my pies and it's been a tray to carry dishes out to the porch table.
If you've got a bread baker in your life, this is the perfect gift. You get perfect slices even when trying to slice hot bread.
I've got several pieces of stoneware. My most used piece is my pizza stone. Anyone who has kids will appreciate this stone. I just sprinkle a little cornmeal under the pizza before baking. The crust comes out perfect every time. Clean-up is a snap, too. Just let the stone completely cool and rinse under hot water. No soap necessary.
A good pair of kitchen shears is an important tool for the cook in your life. They should be strong enough to cut up a chicken and sharp enough to open those food packages. Make sure to choose a pair that can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
We must have eight cutting boards. There are certain boards for certain tasks. My husband, the ex-chef, just loves his wooden cutting board. He's right, for chopping, especially herbs, it's perfect. I, the picky one, prefers a board that can go in the dishwasher, especially after cutting up chicken on it. It's up to you, but you can never have too many cutting boards.
I love my silicone and wooden spatulas. Good silicone spatulas don't absorb foods or melt. They usually don't crack and break either. I love my oriental wooden ones for stirring in my non-stick pans. They're almost as good as using a wire whisk.
