A good outcome in baking depends on exact measurements.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 5 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Stir flour in storage container.
  2. Lightly spoon flour into graduated measuring cup until full. Do not pack flour in cup.
  3. Pull straight edge of knife or spoon across cup to level flour.

Tips:

  1. Don't measure flour over mixing bowl; spilling will throw off measurement.
  2. Place measured amounts separate piles in mixing bowl to make count easier.
  3. If recipe calls for sifted flour, flour must be sifted before measuring.
