This recipe's name came about because Jill says this cake tastes like an apple cake but without the apples.
1 yellow cake mix
4 eggs
3/4 cup oil
1 cup water
-----
1 can Betty Crocker Rich and Creamy Coconut Pecan Frosting
Mix the first set of ingredients like the cake mix box says (with a hand mixer on low for 30 seconds and then medium for 2 minutes). Before putting the batter in the pan, stir in the frosting. Bake it in a greased 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour or less.
Note: The first time I made this cake I couldn't find the coconut pecan frosting so I improvised. I used 1 can of whipped vanilla icing and 1/2 cup each of toasted pecans and coconut. I'll just tell you either way this cake is dangerous. It's so moist you don't want to stop eating it.
