Blondies are brownies that aren't all-chocolate. I'd forgotten all about these flavorful bar cookies until I watched my daughter's Nancy Drew DVD. Besides Lemon Snowbars, Nancy Drew carried individual servings of Blondies in small round tins. She used these treats to help smooth-over any wrinkles in her investigations and calm-down the bad guys.
