Happy Mother's Day, Sunday, May 9th

I have to thank my mother for my interest in baking. As soon as I could reach the counter, she shared her incredible talent for making desserts. Mother's desserts were very special, because they were made with more than just fine ingredients. They were made with love. One of my fondest memories is of the times Mother would have waxed paper spread-out on our dining room table. It was a sign that she would be baking Oatmeal Cookies, and we would be eating them. Mother, I miss you so much. I will always love you.
