Lime Sherbet - Old Recipe

My mother used to make a Lime Sherbet with Lime Jell-O, a Can of Condensed Milk, sugar & lemon or lime juice. Mixed and frozen in the Ice Tray. Had to be stirred several times while it was freezing of it would be icy. I have tried to duplicate it but it just is not the same. Has anyone ever seen a recipe for such a thing? my mother made the same recipe, but she is 91 and can not remember the recipe. Can’t Jello help us out????
