Lime Sherbet - Old Recipe

Friday February 6, 2004
Philip498 writes: "Many, many years ago when I was just a small boy ( before refrigerators had freezers, just two ice trays). My mother used to make a Lime Sherbet with Lime Jell-O, a Can of Condensed Milk, sugar & lemon or lime juice. Mixed and frozen in the Ice Tray. Had to be stirred several times while it was freezing of it would be icy. I have tried to duplicate it but it just is not the same. Has anyone ever seen a recipe for such a thing? I would like to try it again." Please post your recipe here.
