Old-Time Recipe Request

LILYL1989 writes: "Anybody from Philadelphia PA. from the late '30's or '40's, we used to go to a baker on second street there, and buy a sort of pie cake, it had a soft crust, and the filling was a toss between ginger bread and spice cake, anybody know of it???
